The book introduces ocular diseases in horses that are presumed to be hereditary and provides the ACVO Genetics Committee a foundation of cited scientific literature that may be augmented in the future. Information disclosed in the book should also server as a basis for development of a standard of recommendations regarding breeding advice for owners, breeders, breed clubs and breed registries of horses by the Genetics Committee of the ACVO and the Equine Eye Registration Foundation.
